Maybe I am the only one who feels this way, but I am kinda ready for summer to be over. Technically speaking, I know it has just gotten started according to the calendar, but I am already pushing for the fall months. Why do I feel this way? Especially here in southern California, it is not like we have distinct seasons. Our fall weather will be pretty much like the summer weather. But, still I am ready to move ahead. Maybe it is just me but it has been a strange summer. Maybe the month of June with "the family" from out of town had something to do with it. Everyone came to my house for vacation and now I am thinking…wait a minute, where is MY vacation? Maybe it is the long daytime hours and I feel guilty if I sit down before 9 PM. Maybe I like sweaters better than sleeveless shirts (yes, those that know me, know this is true!). Maybe it is because I finally joined a gym and realized it does not have air-conditioning. Maybe I just need to go sit at the beach for a while. God is good to give us seasons and He has a purpose for each of them. Sometimes these are the seasons when the most changes come, when we least expect them. We hope you are having a great summer and getting some great vacation time with your families. Hope to see you soon! Bobbye
I couldn’t wait for summer to come and hope it goes on for a little while longer. It helped that I was able to get away for three weeks with the Lord and have an adventure of a life time with an awesome friend in Christ. I was also waiting for new change in my life that I’ve been praying for And thought I was ready for. Wrong. During the trip I became navigator. The only directing up till then I’ve done was traffic. So i immediately asked God what are you doing we’ll end up in Mexico. Soon enough after a few U-turns, roads to no where and a graceful threat by the Driver of my being left on side of road. I began seeking God in every turn, and sign. He reviled to me that i must become a more accurate arrow if I’m to be launched in the whelms He gave me a key to. Oh I said ” how shall I do this”. He began to teach me to pray and how to see His signs. It was cool to be looking at the map and say “ok! Lord am i on the right road here.” Then to see a huge billboard of Jesus with arms out . “Ok! ill take that as a yes.Thank you.” to little bitty signs on the road that may have been over looked. But it grow me in how to spiritually move in Hes whelm and helped me be prepared for all the obs tickles i will be going through during the change of seasons.I’m looking forward to fall now. We’ll I’m off to the beach. Hopefully I don’t get lost.
