I just clicked on to this blog page and was embarrassed that I haven’t written since the Leadership Retreat. The Leadership Retreat weekend was filled with adjectives starting with “E” like encouragement, endurance, enlightenment, and empowerment. Each guest speaker brought a different thing to the table but there was one thing I noticed with each guest speaker…they were very humble and honest. They did not lead you to believe that something was better than it was or give you the emotional pull that life should be better than what it is. Life is difficult and each season of our lives can bring hurt, challenges, confusion and conflict. The Leadership Retreat weekend concentrated on our personal convictions to keep going, not quit and move on regardless of opinions or obstacles.
As a team, we heard from the women that “this was the best retreat ever” and “how can we all stay in touch beyond this weekend?” True friendships were formed and a lot of networking was going on. I believe in connecting, supporting and communicating on a heart level which absolutely promotes long term relationships with results. I am so thankful that the women who did attend shared my heart.
The next retreat is scheduled for March 18-20 at Forest Home and we plan on hosting another Leadership Retreat next year. Hope you can come! —TL Adamson
