New Year and New Things

The work week starts again tomorrow. The holidays are wonderful but when January 3 comes around you can’t help but wonder where all the money went, where all the extra time came from and wonder how much attention the Lord got from me during His season. I have already studied the yearly Bible reading programs on my ipad but I have not worked through my goals for the new year. One thing I do know I need this new year is hearing more from you…the readers of the blog.

I would love for you to start participating in the Daily Disciples blogs. Send us emails of how the Lord is working in your life and the questions that you are facing. Let others hear from you. The Lord has given you a voice and He desires for you to share your faith. Why? Because it encourages others as well as confirms to others their own walks with the Lord. For those of you who do not want your names posted, I will honor that. But take the time to share & tell. Isn’t that what the Gospel is about? Our first gifts when spiritfilled is “sharing and serving.” Let’s make this year count and include each other along the way. Email us at info@dailydisciples.org .

The thought that January 3rd was coming brought anxious feelings to me. Since our family took some time to head out of state that also meant we did not work for a week – no phones, no emails, and no decisions to make. Then, when this morning hit and it was work week, I knew I had to bring myself before the Lord and settle into Him. I have to remind myself I am always in the Lord’s presence. I just need to walk in His peace. I have enjoyed listening to podcasts before I get my day started. There are many available for your phone.

  2. I am coming to the retreat this year, I need Faith that moves mountains. I have yet again regained fifty pounds. I do not understand why I continue to battle with food, procrastination, etc. I want to but I don’t can anybody relate. 2011 holds excitement that it is a new year, I am desparate to lose this weight by craving God not food. He wants me to be a temple of the Holy Spirit not a cathedral. I say I am excited but so afraid that old habits will keep me in bondage. Pray for me. Blessings Diana
